For decades, Female Genital Cutting (FGC) has remained inescapable for many women and girls across Africa. In the Maasai and Gusii villages where Mpanzi works, girls are still undergoing this practice. Mpanzi is now working to mobilize rural communities, governmental organizations and survivors to work together to end FGC in rural villages among the Gusii and Maasai of Southwestern Kenya.

PROTECTING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Mpanziís Family Hui pilot initiative has mobilized the leadership of 63 mothers and grandmother caregivers to advance peaceful rural family life, positive parenting and child protection. The program reached over 378 family members in 9 remote villages of Kisii in southwestern Kenya.
